WPC Mean
What does WPC mean?
WPC is the abbreviated form for Wood Plastic Composite. These composite materials are made of wood fibre or wood flour and thermoplastics which can include PE, PPTP, PVC etc. More so, WPCs may also be made up of some other ligno-cellolosic and/or inorganic filler materials. WPCs are subsumed under a much wider kind of material known as Natural Fibre Plastic Composites (NFPCs) of which there is usually no cellulose-based fibre fillers in it such as pulp fibres, peanut hulls, bamboo, draw, digestate etc. Foco WPC products are made using wood fibre from sawdust from furniture factories and recycled HDPE from used buckets.
Chemical additives seem practically invisible (except if mineral and pigments are added) in the composite structure. They cater for the provision of polymer and wood flour(powder) while enhancing optimal processing conditions. In the past, individuals in this industry saw WPC as a kind of floor with a fundamental structure of top vinyl veneer alongside a tough trusted core of which can be created without the use of wood Fibre. However, WPC has become a renowned product which is far more different when compared to the WPC decking and also not meant to be used outside. Wood plastic composites are novel materials in relation to the common natural lumber when compared as a building material. In the North America, WPCs are mostly used as an outdoor deck floor and also for railing, fences, landscaping, timbers, cladding and siding, park benches, molding and trimming, window and door frames and indoor furniture. It was around the 1990s that the wood plastic composite was first used in the decking market. So many manufacturers attest to the fact that the wood plastic composite is far more friendly environmentally and also does not demand a lot of maintenance especially if compared to solid wood which is usually treated with preservatives or the rot resistant solid wood. Every of these materials can be either with or without the details of simulated wood grain.
